Our Program
It's the members of the club who put on the events in our program - this means we get a wide range of activities for you to sample. For example, if you enjoy walking there are frequent walks either taking advantage of the long summer evenings (and a local hostelry) or longer weekend rambles. For those who like to let their hair down there are parties, boogie-nights and ceilidhs. For music buffs members regularly attend gigs to hear some of the local up and coming acts.
Regular Events
Tuesday night is club night. We meet at the Castle Inn, Castle Hill from 8:00 p.m. for a sociable drink.
Cambridge has a lively music scene and members normally attend at least 1 or 2 events a week.
Bridge players meet each week at a members house, new players, of any level and experience, are always welcome
There is also a keen group of photographers, hoping to improve their skills, who participate in a monthly "Assignment" which is critiqued and judged at one of our club nights.
National Program
Since Cambridgeshire IVC is part of the Association of IVCs you can also attend events put on by other clubs all over the country, particularly useful to people who work away from home one or two nights a week.
Clubs will also host "Club Weekends", open to members all over the country, typically these involve a major dinner with dancing as well as a packed program
The Bulletin
As part of your membership you will receive, by email, a monthly bulletin. This tells you about the activities which are being put on by the club in the next month.
You will also receive e-mails about last minute events which did not make it into the Bulletin.
