It's Autumn -Blowing out the Cobwebs

Being undeterred by a misty start, a group of us set off for a brisk Autumn walk of about 5 - 6 miles through Autumn scenery and attractive villages, starting at Barrington where we returned for a welcome pub lunch feeling energised and glad of the fresh air.

Winter Beer Festival

What a wonderful way to spend a lunch time... sipping fine ales, ciders and perries - not to mention the 14% mead!

A relaxed lunchtime was spent lounging in the large sofas chatting and supping from the range of over 100 very different brews at the University Sports and Social Club on Mill lane. Roll on Summer festival!

Thanks, Dave, for organising

October Photo assignment - Home from Home - The Results

Good turn out last night for our guest judge Matt Widgery. The theme "Home from Home" produced some interesting submissions and Matt's comments were very thorough and really constructive. I think everyone will have taken something away from the session.

Judging was a close thing with two photos tying after two rounds of voting. Matt's deciding vote gave Tony's "A Camera's Home from Home" first place.

Closely followed by Alan's "Anglesey Abbey in Autumn"
