The Cambridgeshire IVC Blog

This is the official blog where you'll find articles about our events.

It's official......................Cambs IVCers LOVE Banagrams.

At club night on Tuesday 18 people attended and everyone joined in. With 3 games taking place simutaneously and shouts of "peel" and "dump" happening every few minutes, it was hectic but fun and everyone agreed Banagrams should be a regular club night event. So, if you missed the fun, keep checking the bulletins for the next epic Banagrams event.

Planning the Summer Walk Program

IVC Sociable walks planning8 of us met up for one of our annual planning events to make the most of Spring/Summer weather. We came up with a range of ideas for walks both locally and further afield e.g. an archaeological walk at Wimpole, a weekday morning walk and some village/town walks. These and more supplemented others already in the programme such as a stroll combined with lunch/afternoon tea/a pub night. We always welcome new hosts and new routes.

Fine dining at The Varsity Restaurant

Well our fine dining group extended to eight on 11th April.  We had a fabulous dinner at the Varsity Restaurant which was surprisingly busy for a Wed night.  Great atmosphere, great food and as always great company!

Jack at the Grapes

Well we had a good crowd at the Grapes on 7th July and got to see 'Jack', a very popular Cambridge band, performing a special blend of R&B, Classic Rock and Blues. The Grapes is a great venue for bands because there is a roomy dance floor, which accommodates those of us who just cannot keep still! Thanks to Dave for continuing to put on these great music events each Saturday and thanks to Heather for the photo!
